What is the average cost for beef?

You will pay Callow Quality Meat $3.60/lb on the hanging weight (meat and bone) 

Example: The smallest size available is a half of a half aka: split side. This is usually 200lbs ~approximately $720. 


You will also pay the butcher shop for processing. This price can vary depending on: 

Average prices at butcher shops range from ($0.85-$0.95) /lb. or $170-$190

Killing fees are around ~$100 per head or $25 per quarter.


For the example above the total cost is estimated between $915 and $935. 


*Please note that some quarters are larger than 200lbs and some are smaller. This example was given to provide a benchmark. Allow for around a 40 lb swing in hanging weight.

What Beef cuts are available?

Short answer, it depends on the butcher shop. Make sure to check for availability, but below are example cuts.

All cuts can be put into Hamburger. Both Manley’s and Greens does canned beef. *There is a minimum amount of 100lbs. (Please ask for more details)

How long does processing Take?

Your beef will be ready for pickup typically around 2 weeks after the butcher date you selected.
